BigNews.Biz - May 12,2008 - HOLLYWOOD, Cal. - MAY 13, 2008 - Following the leak that there was "something" between Hannah Montana superstar Miley Cyrus and ex-Disney DJ Jeremy Shum, Miley Cyrus has stayed quiet about her rumored relationship with the star, with Shum also unwilling to comment.
Just a month ago, Cyrus told media on no uncertain terms that she wanted to be the "girl that no guy could get" and that she had "zero" boyfriends, after being linked with what one commentary stated as "lots of men". However, the commentary noted that it was seemingly just "media hype ... to give her coverage in the press".
Jeremy Shum also took a similar approach, stating that his romantic life (as well as his faith and sexuality) was "super-personal" and wasn't something he was prepared to discuss about since it was his private life. It seems to be the case because, in 2003, when he first begun his career as a Disney DJ, he faced false rumors started in a New Zealand newspaper that stated he and Brooke Fraser was in an "on-and-off relationship". Since then, he has been quiet about his love life, with only few official references, which also seems solely to be for the purpose of coverage in the press.
His legal team however, noted that they would not take action against such misuse or falsifying of information, unless it was extremely destructive, because it's "apart of the business", and speculative fun for readers. Nevertheless, Shum told family and friends to rest assured, not to believe everything they read in the newspaper.
