Nissan GT-R Wows The Crowds At Westover Customers and sports car enthusiasts were given the chance to see the brand new Nissan GT-R at Westover's Nissan dealership in Wallisdown Road.
Westover Nissan gave committed customers and sports car enthusiasts a chance to preview the new Nissan GT-R this week, although it won’t be seen on UK roads until April next year. Guests queued up to be one of the first in the country to sit behind the wheel of Nissan’s new supercar, which has been branded “simply phenomenal” by Channel 4,
As one of just ten sites across the country chosen to become a Nissan High Performance Centre, Westover’s Wallisdown Road dealership has been taking orders for the GT-R since sales went live on 2 April this year. A staggering 67 have been snapped up to date, despite the fact that customers could, until Tuesday’s preview, only see the technology-leading vehicle in photographs. Around 400 GT-Rs will be available in the UK market next year, with Westover expected to be responsible for the distribution of nearly a quarter of those.
“There was a genuine buzz in the showroom when the GT-R was unveiled,” says Mike Boyd, Westover director. “Cameras were clicking away and in no time at all a queue of people, eager to see the car’s interior and rev the engine, had formed! It was just as exciting for the showroom staff as it was for our customers – we’ve worked hard to secure our prestigious status as a GT-R dealership, but many of the team hadn’t seen the car until the covers came off. The GT-R is set to rival the Porsche 911 Turbo, Audio R8 and BMW M3, so it’s a really exciting addition to our portfolio.”
Westover Nissan was chosen to become a Nissan High Performance Centre following a rigorous selection process, thanks to its superb customer service standards, resources and location. The GT-R’s on-the-road price ranges from £52,900 to £55,500.
