Pinnacle Property Solutions of Western NY is also continuing their work to renovate many neglected homes in South Buffalo under the help and guidance of the South Buffalo Neighborhood Accountability Board. Many of these restored properties were taken from the “neighborhood eyesore list” and are now a source of pride for the community.
Recent volunteer projects the two parties have collaborated on include a project to build a wheelchair ramp to assist an elderly disabled resident of 50 Houston St. The group also joined forces to fix a roof at 59 Pries Ave. There are plans to continue and expand these joint volunteer efforts in 2010.
One resident of the community said, “It is nice to see small businesses and the City of Buffalo working together on this effort. America needs more of this type of effort to help our economy recover. It gives this neighborhood a sense of renewal.”
