How does Internet Marketing Really Work There are different types of approaches to Internet Marketing. In part it depends on what you are selling but the real eye opener is the tactics that are used. More then likely you will not even be
BigNews.Biz - Mar 13,2010 - http://www.InternetMarketingImm.com has been reviewing many different online Marketing tactics and has grouped them into four different categories. The categories are:
1. Sales copy by desire using fear triggers
2. Sales by desire but using good karma
3. A website with no clear purpose
4. Online marketing by accident
According to http://www.InternetMarketingIMM.com it is the second method that has proven to be the most effective and lucrative. Sales by good Karma can increase sales. Here is why. Good Karma sales is so effective and this is the basics. You have to know what is motivating this person. Take for example someone who is looking at “work at home” products. This person want to make money, spend more time with the family or have the freedom that working at home can offer. Those are the desires that are motivating his search for a work from home product. The good karma is giving this person something they can use now that will improve his quality of life and get them closer to achieving their desires. Then sell them something after they have had a chance to put to use what you gave them for free.
The first one is a sale by desire but use fear. There are some very powerful words in the English language and they can invoke fear into someone if the desire for that something exists. By using fear to motivate someone to buy first is very powerful. The problem is if the product does not deliver or is not 100% what that person was expecting then it is more difficult to sell to that person down the road. Be aware of sales tactics that use excessive amounts of “this offer ends at midnight tonight and you won’t be able to get it after that”, or “the price triples and we both know you can’t afford it at that price”. This is still used in limited amounts in the good karma sales technique but not as excessive. If you feel overly pressured you may want to take a few minutes by your self and reexamine the offer.
The last two seem to be a problem with companies that do not have a marketing department. A website with no clear purpose is very common. Companies that use the homepage of their website as a landing page for a specific product or service they sell. They may have great products or services but no one will ever know.
The last one is marketing by accident. This one a company is profitable and brings in sales and has growth but they have no clear process or budget. They managed a great landing page and drive target traffic to them. These are the ideal companies to learn good karma marketing. They could really catapult sales.
